Hello navigators
« on: May 16, 2013, 06:35:23 PM »
Hello Navigators,
First of all sorry for my English writing, speaking is much easier but I will try to do my best.

Found this forum after reading the book of Lyle, and thought why not, maybe I can learn more things over there.
I do like hiking or walking and of course with a map.  I also have a SatNav but thats only for backup.  Some of my adventures you can find on my website www.verschueren.se
.SE but i'm not swedish but from Belgium.  My name with dot BE was already taken and one of my dreams is to do The Fjallraven Classic, thats why I have chosen verschueren.se

Need more information, just shoot!

Peter

Hi Peter -- a warm welcome to this fantastic forum! And by the way, this welcome comes from Belgium too (I live near Heist-op-den-Berg).

Thanks Lyle!
I was thinking to write some text about my trips (just like before the videos) but don't know if thats a good idea.

Peter, I think that a brief introduction about where you are, the type of terrain and tracks would add to your videos. Maybe even a post-script about something different that happened on your journey.

Hi Peter,
Welcome!
I've been to Belgium a few times but only on business - staying in Brussels but working in Groot-Bijgaarden - so I only got to see the city tourist stuff (and drink tripels of course! :o).
cheers,
Steve

I'm trying to start translating my site in english but is seems harder then I thought.  Maybe someone can check my "about" page on http://www.verschueren.se/about and let me know if the text is correct?
Thanks for any help.

Peter, the only language I read, write and speak is American English and to be even more specific New York English, which is different than any other English. And, I think your doing great and where there is little differences those differences should stay because it's those difference that are exciting and gives one the feeling of reaching out and closing gaps between us! Keep being who and what you are, don't change a thing.
