Get well soon mate.
Lyle Brotherton:
Often described by fellow forum members as a curmudgeonly, grumpy old git, Adi’s contribution and thoughtful insight into all matters related to navigation is invaluable; I most certainly have learned a great deal from him.
Tomorrow Adi goes into hospital for major surgery and, like all Gunners, he is being truly stoical about the event.
My other great friend, my late Father - the photo on the right ;D - was also a Gunner, and his stoicism was equally as impressive. In late life he had to undergo major surgery, where the recovery period was usually 10 days in hospital. Day 2 after the operation he discharged himself from hospital as he could not miss Renee Thompson’s 90th birthday party!
You are in good hands my good friend and I am sure everyone in our community wishes you all the best.
When you are back to full strength we can start planning the new Antarctic Expedition.

Hmmm Cheers Lyle if I had known that was the reason for the photo I would have told you to jump ;)
Damn I hope I live as long as your old man and look as dapper.

And from Emma and me too Adi.
Your postings are always lively and generate much discussion, hope your back with us soon :)
Lyle Brotherton:
You know how much I love jumping Adi, going to join me in the cradle?
adi:
Cheers Pete, Lyle has has ramped it up a bit, it.s not as bad as he is making out. But, i will try and post up some images once I am out of theater.
Curmudgeonly ;D That has truly made my day. My life long ambition has been to be called curmudgeonly, now i want to shake my fist and mumble at some youth.
