Anyone in Cardiff?
« on: November 13, 2013, 12:34:47 PM »
Hi all. As I'm a very irregular/occasional member of this site I feel a bit cheeky for asking but is there anyone in the Cardiff area who might feel like dragging a very rusty navigator out to the hills for a bit of a mental thrashing?  I need to refresh my basic map skills as I've become a satnav drone in recent times so could do with some guidance from someone who can still differentiate between a contour line & a river!

And feel free to relocate this post to wherever it should live.

Hello Joel, you have the National Mountain Centre at Plas Y Brenin just up the road from you and I would highly recommend parting with £50 for a days navigation instruction, they really know what they are doing and the whole day would be dedicated to instruction for you:)
