Title: BioLite Camp Stove
Post by: Callum on October 18, 2012, 08:54:04 AM
Been hearing lots about this little baby, and when one of my colleagues, whilst on holiday in the States, managed to grab one, and has been waxing lyrical about it since, i have been keen to try it our for myself. Yesterday I borrowed it.

First of all ‘It does what it says on the tin’ in that is it a good camping stove to heat your drinks/food.

The really impressive technology inside uses a mini-fan to create airflow in the fuel chamber and really did make the twigs and pine cones that we had found, most of which were damp – what a surprise -burn very well. The heat generated by them burning is converted into electricity in our Power Module which automatically recharges the lithium ion battery powering the fan, clever stuff, and any surplus electricity powers a USB outlet, allowing you to charge small electronic devices.

They are not due to be sold in the UK until April next year  :(

They are bloody brilliant, we tried to be the UK distributor for them. We have one and it does what it says on the tin.
