Hello
« on: September 07, 2012, 05:05:06 PM »
Hello to all. Been walking as a pastime/hobby since the late sixties. Happy navigating with a map and compass but wanted to update, particularly GNSS so bought the UNM as it seemed the most suitable for my needs. Excellent book. I live in the Southwest so mostly very civilised gentle walking with signposts every 200 mtrs. If you can get lost on the SW Coastpath you are doing well. We have also got Dartmoor and Exmoor which are  fortunately somewhat more challenging. Have bought a Garmin 62s, will see how it goes. Keep putting one foot in front of the other.
