This is a Pictoral map drawn shortly after Vice Admiral Lord Nelson had walk along Portsmouth defences on the morning of Saturday 14th. September, 1805, at about 6.00am, to commemorate this great mans walk. These defences are now known as Nelsons walk. This Map was in the hands of a private individual who's relative had drawn and painted this amazing watercolour. I had the great pleasure of scanning this peace of history. He presented the original to the Admiralty office as a gift. The owner was not aware of the value of this priceless peace of art at the time!
